Quixote Farm
Quixote Farm is a private, multi-generational biodynamic citrus and avocado farm.
In 2020, weary from quarantining and working out of our garage office, we took it upon ourselves to look for a family compound so we could bring all of our family together. We loved our hometown of Newport Beach, but we felt like we were ready for a change. After months of looking, we found Quixote Farm at the end of the 2020 and moved in spring of 2021. We quickly learned how hard and how expensive farming was! Our five-year reserves were gone in one year.
We quickly pivoted to something we knew from our former careers: Hospitality. As Superhosts and a former innkeepers, contractor and interior designer, we got quickly to work transforming this farm.
The farm stays here at Quixote farm are inspired by Lara’s happy childhood memories of her childhood in Northeastern Spain, hopping into her father’s Alpha Romeo and driving to farms all over Europe, staying in the farmstays and being welcomed by the farmers and enjoying a delicious farm to table meal.
In 2022, we opened Quixote Casita, which received rave reviews, and propelled us forward on this Agritourism adventure.
Summer 2023 we officially opened Quixote Granero, our converted for farmstays.
September of 2024 we opened our little tienda, our Quixote Farmshop, which highlights products made here at the farm as well as skincare and ceramics made by Lara.
In Fall of 2025 we temporarily closed for agritourism until further notice for maintenance and remodeling.
In spring of 2026, we will be formally launching Quixote Rescue, a 501 C3 equine and farm animal rescue and sanctuary.
Additionally, we will be adding the Quixote Finca-a 3 bedroom, 2 bath with a private pool, to our farmstay offerings!
